On a warm summer night in 2012 an twenty two year old by the name of Amber Grace had taken her usually position on the Middle Creek bridge. As the sun went down she sat with her small blue book of poetry and wrote about the creek's beautiful clear water, the life giving trees which surrounded it, and the wildlife which visited its banks for refreshment. But on this night the peace was shattered by the rumble of a pick-up truck's engine and the screech of tires as it skidded to a halt a few feet from where she sat. Out of the cab and bed poured a stream of drunken locals who proceeded to surround her on the bridge. One approached and announced his vile intentions. He then attempted to grab her. Amber responded by lashing out blindly with the only weapon she had in her possession, her pen, and stabbed him in the eye. Shrieking he staggered back to the truck. Amber tried to run but her path was blocked. There was no escape. The man returned, having retrieved his pistol. Six shots late,r it was all over.

Reports of a ghost haunting the Middle Creek Bridge surfaced only a few days after her death. During the following year, nearlly all of those who were present at her murder were killed in mysterious accidents. All but one.. Jack Wolf, the man who pulled the trigger, fled the area immediately following the murder and now lives in Seattle. He has taken up a new identity and, now fifty years old, is employed as a dock foreman in the city. He is constantly haunted by nightmares of the event and is slowly losing his mind through sleep deprivation and anxiety.  Also in his possession is Amber's poetry book, a book which he has tried to destroy but which constantly reappears in perfect condition. Every year on the murder's anniversary a new chapter writes itself in blood, depicting the murder in more and more detail. Amber's soul can only rest in peace once Jack is dead and the book is returned to the Middle Creek Bridge. But the catch is Jack can't die anywhere but at the bridge. He is immortal until Amber takes his life herself.
