Dena Fallingtree

Archetype: Human Tribal Warrior

One of the special breed of warriors dedicated to protecting their homeland from intrusion, Dena Fallingtree grew up along the border, having seen local villages ransacked or damaged by smugglers time and time again.  When she was 16, Dena was kidnapped by a group of terrorists who had taken refuge in her town.  During their attempted escape by aircraft, Dena was tossed from a Cessna, falling 30 meters onto a rocky ridge.  Both of her legs were mangled beyond saving and she went a decade without them until local villages raised enough money to provide her with cyberlegs, despite the traditional tribal aversion towards extreme cybernetic enhancements.

Mobile again, Dena Fallingtree joined the border patrol and quickly became well known for the ruthless way she handled smugglers and terrorists caught under her watch.  Dena will often "forget" to inform the rest of her team about possible foot crossings, choosing to handle the situation personally.  Occasionally her plan backfires, and she is forced to call in support and explain her actions to her superiors.  But more frequently the intruders mysteriously vanish, their bodies never to be found.

A strong woman who has secretly had high level reflex enhancements installed, Dena prefers high powered assault rifles, grenade launchers, and swords as her primary weapons.  She is also highly skilled in stealth and knows her territory so well that she can run through the wilderness blindfolded without so much as stepping on a twig.

Serna Darkbrow

Archetype: Human Tribal Warrior

Sporting masses of muscle, a large frame, thick black hair and sharply chiseled features, Serna Darkbrow is one of the most feared warriors of her nation.  At the age of 12, Serna saw her family get incinerated before her eyes when a stray UCAS border patrol missile detonated her small cabin home.  Scared both physically and emotionally (beneath her garbs are masses of burnt, contorted flesh) she has sworn a death oath against the UCAS military, specifically their border guard division.  Skilled with assault rifles and heavy machine guns, Serna has also trained with LAWs, always keeping one or two with her in case the need to wax a UCAS chopper ever arises.

Skyhunter

Archetype: Human Eagle Shaman

An excellent BAC-Dassault-MBB Military Variant pilot despite his lack of a control rig, Skyhunter relies solely on his powerful list of custom detection spells to navigate his aircraft, locate his targets, and manually guide ordinance to their target.  Skyhunter is probably most feared for the pack of Wind Spirits that accompany him on combat flights.  These loyal entities use their powers to disrupt, confuse, and occasionally down enemy aircraft before Skyhunter even arrives on the scene.  Since enemy aircraft rarely have magicians as a GIB, simply the manifestation of a spirit in front of their aircraft is often enough to scare them into bugging out.

An older man whose slow reflexes require that he use confusion and surprise as a weapon, Skyhunter almost always flies without support, picking off smugglers in isolated locations and working hard to minimize collateral damage.  Tales exist that say he is so in tune with his aircraft that his aura is actually connected with it, creating great difficulty in mounting a magical attack against him or the aircraft.

Devon Northwind

Archetype: Human Tribal Warrior

A huge man covered with camouflage tattoos and usually equipped with a heavy machine gun, Devon Northwind totes his heavy weapons like they were toys.  He is probably the only person in the world who can quick draw a missile launcher.

If it flies or rolls, it's Devon's job to make it explode.  And if the targets within the vehicles are needed alive, it is Devon's job to blow just enough meat off them that they'll never forget their mistake, but still don't board that final train to greet the reaper.  A fan of tribal literature and history, Devon is deployed only during last resort situations.  He has a history of instability, tends to prefer solitude, and gets extremely nervous if he is within a 20 meter radius of two or more other people.  Between assignments, Devon usually camps out in his stripped down Ford-Canada Bison, reading electronic books downloaded through his satellite link.
